He was predeceased by: his parents, James Durnford and Gladys Durnford; and his brother Calvin. He is survived by: his close friend Bessanne; his sons, Adam (Olivia) of Moncton, NB and James (Shay) of Halifax, NS; his stepson Trevor Forsey (Tanya) of Cornwall, ON; his grandchildren, Madison, Samuel, Ella Mae, Charley Rose and Jacob; his stepgrandchildren, Lucas, Tai and Ryker; his siblings, Roger Durnford (Philomena), Creston South, Leo (Gwen) and Melida Barter (Gerald); and his sister-in-law Clara Durnford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Samuel's memory may be made to St. Michael's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Creston South.
