She was predeceased by: her parents, Georgie Patten and Gerald Patten; her parents-in-law, Harriet and George Hickman; her siblings, Geraldine Matthews and Clarence Patten; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Patten, Ardith Patten and Rodney Matthews (Marjorie Pike).

She is survived by: her husband Max Hickman; her children, Dave Hickman (Teena) and Alison Hickman (Blaine); her grandchildren, Leah Oake (Matthew), Zachary and Austin; and her siblings, Maxine Rose (Tom), Anne Hillier (Keith) and Eli Patten.
