He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Thornhill and Sarah Thornhill; his stepfather Stanley Hillier; his siblings, Joan Stacey and Max Thornhill; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Ella Mae English; his brother-in-law Henry Rose; and his niece Nancy Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Thornhill; his children, Todd Thornhill (Marlene) of Lower Sackville, NS, Joanne Pierce (Perry) of Fortune, NL and Tammy Pardy (Larry) of St. John's, NL; his brother Arch Thornhill (Eleanor); his siblings-in-law, Betty Dolimount (Lloyd), Susie Rose and Harry English (Mary); his niece Natalie Stacey; his grandchildren, Zachary Pierce, Dylan Thornhill, Lucas Thornhill and Brooklyn Pardy; and his great grandchild Jaden Pierce.
