He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha; his parents, William Cox and Evelyn Cox; his sons, William and Randy; his daughters-in-law, Pheobe and Bella; his grandchildren, Dwayne Snook, Tony Cox and Judy Cox; his granddaughter-in-law Dana Cox; his great grandchildren, David Thornhill and Bryce Bennett; his siblings, Benjamin, Philip Cox, Elizabeth Lawrence (George), Sarah Cumben (Wilfred) and Joyce Keeping (Charles); and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Skinner and Bessie Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Garfield (Lillian) of Grand Bank, Robert (Maisie) of Grand Bank, Melvin (Patsy) of Grand Bank, Evelyn Snook (Arthur) of Wreck Cove and Linda Bennett (Otto) of Nova Scotia; his daughter-in-law Cindy Cox of Ontario; his brother Norman Cox; his sister-in-law Hilda Cox; his grandchildren, Tracey, Andy, Jamey, Terry, Elvis, Todd, Robert, Ryan, Jody, Stephen, Christopher Bennett, Christopher Cox and Amber; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Kayla, Alexander, Kaia, Lexi, Gavin, Meagan, Jenna, Adeline, Spencer, Bella, Claire, Rebecca, Renee, Mackenzie, Maylin, Robert John, Anthony, Sophia, Jeffery, Julia, Ella, Luke, Brooklyn and Cade.
