It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Charles Hapgood (Grand Bank, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 4, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Suzannah; his siblings, Augusta Fitzgerald, Alex Hapgood and Lloyd Hapgood; and his sister-in-law Alberta Power.

He is survived by: his wife Emily; his daughters, Rowena Hapgood of Grand Bank and Valarie Russell (Mike) of Grand Bank; his significant other Kevin Drake (Sadie) of Frenchmen; his grandchildren, Cameron Russell, Austin Hillier and Eric Hillier; his sister-in-law Rowena Crocker; and also, Ben Grandy (Janice) of Brooks, Terry Grandy (Lesa) of Brooks and Spencer Grandy (Daphne) of Grand Bank.
