She was predeceased by: her mother Kathleen Hearn; her grandparents, Andrew and Mary Hearn; her brothers, David and Francis Hearn; her parents-in-law, Clarence and Phyllis Whitten (Ken Forward); and her sister-in-law Barbara Hann.

She is survived by: her husband Dean Whitten; her siblings, Mike (Gen), Vince (Sandy), Billy (Sharon), Gerry (Rosalie), Andy, Phonsie, Peter, Scott, Madeline (late Dave) and Ann Marie (Steve); her siblings-in-law, Catherine (late Francis), Heather (Brian), Randy (Barbara), Stephen (Laurie) and Norman; her niece Andrea; and her friends, Kelly, Wade and Kathy Ann. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
