With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John R. Barton (Goulds, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 23, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Noreen Margaret Barton; his son Michael Timothy Barton; his siblings, Genevieve Russell, William, Norman and Patrick Barton; and his parents, Patrick Barton and Mary Barton of Goulds, Newfoundland..

He is survived by: his children, Derek Barton (Veronica Jurado Garcia), Morelia, Mexico, Owen Barton (Jacqueline Campbell) and Alaina Harper (Mark Harper); his grandchildren, Andrew Ellis, Gabrielle, Gavin Barton and Susan Snow; his siblings, Dorothy Howlett, Catherine Whitten, Patricia Snow (Roy), Linda Johnson, Marie Barton and David Barton (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Regina Leonard, Pat Dawson (Gerry), Sheila Leonard (Presentation Convent), Gerald Leonard (Trudy), John Leonard (Carol) and Blair Leonard. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, friends and extended family.
