The memory of Doreen Heffernan (Goulds, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 4, 2024 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Kevin; her son Danny; her parents, Jack McAllister and Nellie McAllister; her aunt Mae (Jack); her brothers, Bill, John, Frank, Mike and Shannon McAllister; her parents-in-law, Philip and Mary Heffernan; her siblings-in-law, Ruby, Berkie McAllister, Rosemary, Margie, Philip Heffernan Jr., Eddy Howlett, Robert Hennessy and Wally Daniels; and her nephews, Donny Shaw, Christopher Heffernan, Eddy Howlett and Gerald Douglas Edney.
She is survived by: her children, Sean (Kathy), Lynn (Charlie), Cathy (Rick), Karen, Claire (Phil), Beth Anne (David), Rosanne and Nancy (Ches); her sister Beth Anne (John); and her siblings-in-law, Pat, Eleanor, Michelle McAllister, Jenny (George), Dot, Teresa (Gerry), Barb (Bill), Pat (Jean), Doug (Mary) and Buddy. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, life-long friends and new friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Kevin's Church (454 Main Rd, Goulds, NL A1S1E8).
