John Batten Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Batten of Glovertown, Newfoundland, who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret (Feltham); his parents, Maxwell Batten and Harriet Batten; his stepmother Amy Batten; his parents-in-law, Reginald and Emma Feltham; his brother-in-law Gerard Griffin; and his close friend Joyce Quinton.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Crotty (John) and John Batten (Wendy) of Lunenburg, NS; his niece Linette (Bob Greening); his friend Audrey Arnold; his sisters, Winnie Stanley (Hal) and Viola Griffin Grand Falls (late Gerard); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Genge (Norm), Pearl Winsor (Robert) of Tatamagouche, NS, Robert Feltham (Margaret) of St. John's, Rick Feltham (Anita) of St. John's and Reg Feltham (Debra) of St. John's. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
