We are sad to announce that on September 16, 2020, Gertie Marie Collins-Sweetapple of Glovertown, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Sandy Oram (Dan); and her sister Stella. She is survived by: her mother Jane Oram of Bragg's Island; her former husbands, Daniel Collins and Calvin Sweetapple; her husband Cal; her children, Bart (Deanna), Sandy (Samantha), Colleen (Wayne) and Pam (Ralph); her stepdaughters, Kathy and Tracy; her siblings, Rose (Tom), Clayton (Judy), Albert (Maggie), Dawson (Elizabeth), Edgar (Mabel), Aubrey (Geraldine), Pleman (Ellen) and Pernell (Debbie); and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Juliana, Daniel, Sophie, Anna, Jordyn and Mady. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family members, and dear friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there is limited seating and the funeral will not be open to the public.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be generously made to the Daffodil Place in Gertie's memory.
