She is survived by: her children, Christopher and Wendy (Craig); her granddaughters, Hannah and Caroline; her son Ian (Tracy); her grandchildren, Liam and Alexandra; her brothers, Harry (Lorna), Brian (Marilyn), Norm and George (Janet); her pets, Cooper, Hudson and Vaquero; and her caregiver Anne Marie Lambert.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth's memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre or James Paton Memorial Hospital.
