She was predeceased by: her husband Ford Simms; her parents, Alfred Thomas Hardy and Elizabeth Hardy; her siblings, Joyce Baker and Waldron Hardy; and her aunt Bella Dawe.

She is survived by: her daughter Judy Branton of Glenwood; her grandchildren, Angie McAllister and Ryan Branton; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Branton, Samuel Branton and Shelby McAllister (Samuel).
