He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Mitchell and Hilda Mitchell; his wife Margaret Mitchell; his in-laws, Carmen and Joan Humphries; his siblings-in-law, Anne Knight, Margaret Humphries, Martin Humphries and Jake Humphries; and his uncle Clarence Guy.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Mitchell (Jennifer), Jason Mitchell and Craig Mitchell (Paula); his grandchildren, Destiny Mitchell (Nicholas), Brandon Shea, Alexandra Mitchell (Mitchell), Mackenzie Mitchell, Cassidy Mitchell (Ethan), Abigail Mitchell, Ava Mitchell and Brayden Mitchell; his niece Dakota Humphries; his siblings, Vida Chatman (Nelson), Ransey Mitchell and Malaesa Woolridge (Rick); and his siblings-in-law, Ray Humphries (Joyce), Lindsay Humphries, Paul Knight, Ada Humphries, Emma Humphries (Don) and Elizabeth Humphries.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Stacey's Funeral Home (60 Roe Ave, Gander, NL A1V 2E1). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Martin's Cathedral (2 Lindbergh Rd, Gander, NL A1V1T8).
