He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Newhook and Maude Newhook; and his siblings, Judith Newhook and Bruce Newhook. He is survived by: his wife Lucy; his children, Tony (Trina) of Gander, NL and Judy (Mark) of Geary, NB.; his grandchildren, Mitchell (Courtney) and Shelby; and his sister-in-law Ann Newhook. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (238 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J7).
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations in Gerald's memory may be made to the Gander and Area S.P.C.A.
