He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gray and Phoebe Gray; his stepmother Evangeline Gray; his parents-in-law, Harvey and Irene Newbury; his stepmother Doris; and his brother Jim Gray.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his sons, Curry, Jamie (Tara) of Lanigan, SK and Chris of Kingston, ON; his grandchildren, Joshua, April, Ethan, Sidney and Alyssa; his siblings, Bert (Lynette) and Marcie Robinson (Eric); his siblings-in-law, Betty Simms, Little Bay, Alma Foster (Claude), Joyce Gale Baie Verte (Clifford) and Mavis Garland Gander (Danny); his nephew Shawn Gray; and his niece Jasmine Ramrup of Marathon, ON..

A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Salvation Army Citadel (165 Airport Blvd, Gander, NL A1V1K6).

In lieu of flowers, donation's in Dave's memory may be made to The James Paton Memorial Health Centre (Dialysis Unit).
