He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis and Millicent; and his sister Jean. He is survived by: his wife Celie Brown; his children, Candice (Chris) and Stephen (Lisa); his grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Hunter; his sister Catherine (Austin); and his cousin Frances (Alf).

In lieu of flowers, the family will be making a donation to JPM Hospital medical ward for furniture such as a cuddle bed or pull-out sofa.
