Ethel Canning Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Canning of Foxtrap, Newfoundland, who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce Canning; her parents, Uriah Burge and Jane Burge of Little Bridgeport, NL.; her son Andy Canning; her siblings, Wilfred Broomfield, Cecil Burge, Otto Burge and Geraldine Froude; her stepbrother Ernest Hill; and her children-in-law, Cedric Mills and Rose Canning.

She is survived by: her children, Gilbert (Lyda), Clifford (Shirley), Harvey (Doreen), Tony (Glennys), Edward, Maxine Boyd (Woodrow), Leona (Melvin) and Rosena Philpott (Grant). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Public visitation will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 2-4 p. m. subject to Covid 19 regulations.

Donations in Ethel's memory may be given to the Clarence Wiseman Central Salvation Army Corps.
