He was predeceased by: his parents, George Matchem and Elizabeth Matchem; his parents-in-law, Arch and Jane Thorne; and his brother-in-law Nathan Marks.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his daughters, Lesa Grandy (Terry) of Brooks, AB and Charlene MacIsaac (Joe) of Antigonish, NS; his grandchildren, Gillian, Kayla, Katelynn, Haley, Hannah and Joseph; his great grandchild Benjamin; his siblings, Robert Matchem (Gail) and Alice Jane Matchem (Felix); and his siblings-in-law, Arch Thorne (Rosaline), Della Harris (Pat), Renee Marks and Daisy Barnes (Clayton).
In Winston's memory donations may be made to the Salvation Army or flowers gratefully accepted.
