Miriam Symes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2021, Miriam Symes of Fortune, Newfoundland passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Miriam Symes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her sisters, Margaret Wells (Jerry) of Bridgewater, NS and Pearl Skinner (Doug) of Fortune; her husband Stanley Symes; her parents, William Marks and Minnie Marks; her grandson Matthew Symes; and her siblings, Nathan Marks (Mary), Seaward Marks (Rose), Janet Symes (Edwin) and Lucy Symes (Jack).

She is survived by: her children, Stanley Symes (Shelly) of Fortune, Mildred Parsons (Paddy) of Fortune, Eileen Strickland (Howard) of Point May and Linda Dinn (Craig) of Fortune; her brother-in-law Arthur Symes (Elizabeth) of Fortune; her grandchildren, Cynthia Slaney (Duane), Theresa Strickland, Patrick Parsons Jr. (Anita), Derrick Parsons, Bradley Symes (Amanda), Mackenzie Dinn and Carter Dinn; her great grandchildren, Christina Pye, Jonah Slaney, Kelsey Strickland, Bre-Ann Thorkelson, Logan Thorkelson, Bridget, Callie and Oaklynn; and her great great grandchildren, Kate Pye and Beth Pye.

In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place with a maximum of 20 people at any one time is permitted.

In Miriam's memory donations may be made to the All Saints Anglican Cemetery Fund, Fortune, or flowers gratefully accepted.
