He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Rose and Annie Rose (Cox); his parents-in-law, Stanley and Effie Hillier; and his siblings-in-law, Roy Hillier, Freeman Hillier, Garfield, Walter Bonnell and Alice Hillier (Austin).

He is survived by: his wife Jean Rose (Hillier); his sons, Neil (Sherry) and Rick; his granddaughters, Megan, Anna, Sarah and Mary; his brothers, Fred (Ruby), George (Eileen) and Victor (Dorothy); and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Hillier (Mary), William Hillier (Marilyn), Gladys Bonnell, Greta Bonnell, Shirley Lockyer (Raphael), Marjorie Rose (Steve) and Frances Hillier.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Roof Fund.
