He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Benteau and Catherine Benteau; and his niece Judyette Thornhill. He is survived by: his sons, Deon Fleming (Collette) of Pouch Cove, Dwayne Fleming (Andrea) of Point, Gaul and Shane Benteau (Kayla) of Torbay; his grandchildren, Addison, Alex and Reid; and his siblings, Clement Benteau (Jean), Kevin Benteau, Catherine Strickland (Eric), Celeste Thornhill (Melvin), Gabrielle Thornhill (Alec), Rose Lockyer (Gerard), Dorothy McFee (Clayton) and Mary Fleming (Wayne).
In following with the guidelines due to COVID-19, a walk through visitation will take place at Wiseman's Funeral Homes in Fortune on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 from 2pm - 4pm.
