She was predeceased by: her husband James; and her parents, Walter Sheppard and May Sheppard. She is survived by: her children, Kerry Keeping (Marina) of Fortune, NL, Paris Keeping (Cindy) of Rusagonis, NB, Donna Vey (Lloyd) of Goulds, NL and Deanne Brisebiois (Michel) of Spruce Grove, AB; her grandchildren, Deidre (Jake), Danielle (Phil), Dayna (Matt), Andrew (Nick), Cameron (Lisa), Tia (Jacky) and Candace; her great grandchildren, Abel and Arlo; and her siblings, Donna Skinner, Jayne Noseworthy (Eric) and Neville Sheppard (Eileen).

In Evelyn's memory donations may be made to the All Saints Anglican Church, Fortune.
