He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl Burton; his son Wayne Burton; his granddaughter Karen Walters; his parents, William Burton and Annie Burton; his siblings, Stan, Albert, Louis, Freeman, Charlie, Aubrey, Edna Fitzgerald, Eliza Burton and Evelyn Dicks; his parents-in-law, Charlotte and Kenneth Crews; and his siblings-in-law, Violet Hillier (Bill), Edna Cake (George), Florence Stacey (Sylvester), Laura Clarke (Eric), Joan Crews and Alfred Crews.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Burton (Michelle) of Trenton, ON, Linda Walters (Lloyd) of Corner Brook, NL and Geraldine Barnes (Floyd) of Mahers, NL; his grandchildren, Krista (Rick), Greg (Anu), Brad (Valerie), David (Tiffany), Michael and Kiersten; his great grandchildren, Caden, Kara, Dylan, Byron, Emily and Penny; and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Bullerwell, Roberta Pritchett, Ruth Crews and Hubert Crews.
In Donald's memory donations may be made to the Blue Crest Nursing Home. No flowers by request of the family, Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman's Funeral Homes – Fortune.
