We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2022, at the age of 94, Betty (Trainor) Walsh (Fermeuse, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Martin Walsh; her daughter Lucy Costello; her son-in-law Ralph Best; her nephew Brian Trainor; her parents, Denis Trainor and Lucy Trainor (Kenny); her siblings, Madeline, William, Carmella, Anne, Mary and Theresa; and her parents-in-law, George and Marcella Walsh.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Best, Florence Harvey, Jerry (Bonnie Abbott), Barbara Croft (David), Brian (Gail Bidgood), Martin (Valeeta), Gloria Maher (Jim), Tim (Valerie), Theresa Alyward (Paul) and Wayne (Cathy Ann Kelly); her children-in-law, Willie Costello and Janice Harrigan; her grandchildren, Erin Best (Trent Horne), Andrew Best (Jenny Gear), Paul Costello (Susan), Neal Costello (Marisa Richardson), Mark Costello (Amy), Allison Walsh, Greg Walsh (Stephanie), Rebecca Abbott, Alicia Angel (Sean), Nick Croft (Laura), Maggie Walsh (Cody O'Brien), Gabriella Walsh (Ben Bragg), Jackson Walsh, Michael Lahey (Melissa Davidson), Dennis Maher (Chealsea Wiseman), Tim Maher (Kaitlyn Brewer), Abbey Walsh, Daniel Alyward (Emma Coady), Stephanie Alyward, Xavier and Sibéal Walsh; her great grandchildren, Maren, Bridget Best, Liam, Leah Costello, Evey, Eli Costello, James, Mary Costello, Madelyn, Nora Walsh, William, Zachary Angel, Owen Croft, Ava and Dax Lahey; and also Gillian Costello.
Even the recent Zoom phenomenon became a medium she did not shy away from, which allowed us all to "see" each other especially during the recent pandemic restrictions.
