With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Basil James Walsh of Fermeuse, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Sarah; his siblings, Rita, Beatrice, Eugene, Nick, Patrick and Jimmy; and his granddaughter Stephanie.
He is survived by: his significant other Lucy; his children, Basil (Clara), Chris (Rosalie), Paul (Pam), Patricia (Tim Murphy), Cathy (Paul Furlong) and Carolyn (John Hatcher); his siblings, Stella (Kevin Besso) and Charlie (Phyllis); his grandchildren, Brad (Leah), Vanessa (Jason), Adam (Shannon), Chelsi (Jasmine), Caitlin (Devon), Megan, Colin, Ryan, Andrew, Kayla (Greg), Sarah, Christopher (Fernanda) and Aaron (Zoey); and his great grandchildren, Daylen, Alexa, Ava and Lilly.
Flowers will be accepted, or a donation can be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
