He is survived by: his children, Paula Freeborn (Norman) of Labrador City, Patrick Peters, Jamie Peters of Brooks, AB, Donnie Peters (Crystal) of Brooks, AB and Trevor Peters; his grandchildren, Douglas, Reilly, Griffin, Christian and Jace; his pet Odie; his siblings, Brenda, Marjorie Ann, Audrey, Marion, Linda, Lorraine, Donnie and Jackie; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Hickey (Michael), Sharon Hickey (Ivan), Cathy Hackett, Michael Hackett of St. John's and Wyman Hackett (Lori).

Due to the most recent Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 a private funeral mass will take place.
