It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney Garfield Brinson of Embree, Newfoundland, born in Change Islands, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Ada; his wife Emily Leyte; and his siblings, Guy, Allan, Jack, Wilson and Dorcas.
He is survived by: his brother George (Mary); his significant other Sue Ledrew; his children, Dianne, Dean (Paula), Donna (Jim) and Dwayne (Anita); his grandchildren, Ashley (Jon), Jonathan, Deanyka (Corey), Donovan and Lacey; and his extended family, Ena (Roland), Ivan (Josephine) and Lawrence (Allison).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home (262 Main St, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Anglican Church (82 Premier Dr, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0).
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery fund would be gratefully accepted.
