He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooklyn Hill and Grace Hill; his parents-in-law, Clyde and Vera Barrett; and his siblings-in-law, Eunice Oberndorfinger and Edwin Barrett.

He is survived by: his wife Viola; his children, Jason Hill (Jojo) and Jackie Shearing (Melvin); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Justin), Ian, Zachary, Alexander and Grace; his great grandchildren, Lindsay and Ethan; his siblings, Ross (Norma), Melvin (Lorraine), Whyman (Viola), Willie, Glen Wade (Kim), Velma Ball (William), Wavy Hodder (Gary), Judy Heath (Murton) and Glenda Ryan (Geoffrey); and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Oberndorfinger, Cyril Barrett (Alice), Elsie Barrett and Cynthia Loveman (Will). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
