He was predeceased by: his wife Gertie; his parents, Daniel and Mary; his parents-in-law, Fred and Dorothy Barrett; and his siblings, Gerard, Cecil, Ned, Frank, Margaret Kelly, Beth Smith and Rose O'Neill.

He is survived by: his daughter Lori (Gary Pitcher); his grandsons, Lucas and Colby; his siblings, Josephine Griffiths, Jean Hebert (Paul), Marion Bruce, Harold (Kitty) and Reg (Pegi); and his siblings-in-law, Eliza Matchett (Reg), Ray O'Neill, Nath Barrett (Marguerite), Fred Barrett (Glenda), Max Barrett (Linda) and Eric Barrett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
