He was predeceased by: his parents, George Garrett Ruby and Ethal Durgan Ruby. He is survived by: his children, Dan Ruby (Nicolle), Ron Ruby and Adele Ruby; and his siblings, George, Harold, Wayne, Olga Keen and Dallas Tomchuk. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Matthew's Anglican Cemetery.
