He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel and Beatrice; his daughter Eliza Faye Elgar; and his siblings, Wilfred Elgar, Donald Elgar, Cecilia Rumbolt, Ethel McKay, Effie Kelly and Jessie Ricketts.
He is survived by: his children, Clayton Elgar (Ann) and Doreen Romaine (Guy); his grandchildren, Michael, Erin and Danielle; his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Beverly Ann, Faith and Dylan; and his sister May Ropson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
