We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, at the age of 75, Mildred Dorothy (Decker) Pittman of Deer Lake, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gordon and Effie Mildred Decker (Rowsell); her former spouse Laudrick Wilson Pittman; her brother Harvey; and her parents-in-law, Silas and Olive Rodgers.
She is survived by: her husband Silas William David Rodgers; her children, James (Joy), Denise (Claude) and Nicole (Art); her grandchildren, Christopher (Rebecca), Matthew (Sarah), Amanda (Greg), Kodiak (Larissa) and Elizabeth (Duncan); her great grandchildren, Nova, Dax, Everett, Odynn and Brooks; her brother Lewis; and her aunt Sadie (Baxter). She is also survived by sister, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A1X1). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church (45 Bennett Ave, Deer Lake, NL A8A1B2).
No flowers by request but donations can be given in Mildred's memory to the Vera Perlin society, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
