He was predeceased by: his wife Vera; his parents, Cecil Simms and Bessie Simms; and his brothers, Cecil Simms, Wilson Simms, Glen Simms, Cyril Simms and Wilbert Simms.
He is survived by: his brothers, Alex Simms (Nellie), Woodrow Simms (Joy) and Roy Simms; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth King (David), Joan Williams (Lorne), Pat Sheppard (Keith), Glenda Simms and Ivan Gilley (Donna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Lloyd to the Canadian Red Cross.
