He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesley and Una; his brother Levi; his granddaughter Patience; his nieces, Daphne and Angela; and his parents-in-law, John and Rita Goosney.

He is survived by: his wife Ida; and his children, Roger (Rose), Lee (Lisa), Shawn, Travis (Kerry), Levi (April) and Rachel. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
