Harold Newman Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Harold Newman (Deer Lake, Newfoundland), who passed away at the age of 83, on July 9, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindy Newman and Julia Newman; and his former wife Florence (Cassell). He is survived by: his wife Millie (Hurley); his children, Gary Newman (Maxine) of Quispamsis, NB, Ross Newman (Kelly) of Mount Moriah, NL, Irene Newman (Dan Buchanan) of Edmonton, AB and Anthony Newman of Deer Lake, NL.; and his grandchildren, Tracy Battiste, Devin Newman, Evan Newman and Mark Newman. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

Due to the current Covid-19 Restrictions, a private service will be held at the funeral home chapel, on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020, at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Jarrett Oxford officiating with burial at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wight's Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society via the funeral home website.
