It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gladys Rubena Laing (Deer Lake, Newfoundland), who passed away at the age of 93, on June 26, 2024. She was predeceased by : her husband Clifford Laing; and her siblings, Ernest, Donald, Ivan, Hughie, Lily and Alberpha.

She is survived by : her daughter Diane Hoyles (Wade); her grandsons, Robert Hoyles (Laura) and Matthew Hoyles; her great grandchildren, Ruby, Everett, Eleanor and Billie; and her siblings, Elsie Burry, May Gillam and Eddie Roberts.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fillatre's Funeral Home (10 Clinic Dr, Deer Lake, NL A8A1E3). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Saint Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church (21 Farm Rd, Deer Lake, NL A8A1V1).

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donaitons may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
