It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys (Reid) Payne (Deer Lake, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 11, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodosia Reid and John Reid; her son Alexander Payne; her granddaughter Katelyn Payne; her siblings, Lucy Reid, Eric, Henry and Charlie Reid; and her siblings-in-law, Bessy Reid and Donald Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Calvin; her children, Walter, Emily, Susan, Margaret, Nancy, John and Perry; her grandchildren, Joey, Craig, Roger, Jocelyn, Ryan, Samantha, Abigail, Sarah, Heather, Laura, Kristi, Wilfred, Gillian, Abby, Calvin and Nathan; and her siblings, Walter Reid (Anna), Clyde Reid and Melissa Smith. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 Government Regulations and the Province moving back to Alert Level 5, there will only a grave side service, to be held on Monday, February 15th, 2021, at 2:00 pm, at the Anglican Church Cemetery, in Rocky Hr, NL, with Rev Green officiating.
