He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hynes and Eliza Hynes; his siblings, Anthony, Joyce and Jean; and his parents-in-law, Leslie and Mary Jane Belben.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Les (Jenelle) and Greg (Tammy); his grandchildren, Georgia, Jake, Peyton and Raina; and his friend Harry Hewlin.
