It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Annie Melissa Brown (Deer Lake, Newfoundland), who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Clyde Earle; her parents, Mary Brake and Valance Brake; and her sister Hilda Murrin. She is survived by: her husband James; her daughters, Crystle Young (Terry), Amanda Martin (Paul) and Alix Carrier (Alex); her grandchildren, Joey Young (Erin), Joshua Young (Anna), Jeffrey Young, Kyle Martin (Sierra Payne), Jamie Martin (Abi Lovell), Henry Carrier and Winston Carrier; her great grandchildren, Amelia Young and Levi Young; her siblings, Joseph Norris (Dorren), Susan Brake (Aubrey Lee), Millicent Brake, Shelley Roberts, Shawn Brake (Donna Gavin) and Derek Brake (Kristina Budisa); and her siblings-in-law, Freeman Murrin and Brenda Hance.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Anglican Church (1 Back Rd, Woody Point, NL A0K1P0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
