It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel Rubia of Deer Lake, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Iva and Daniel Sr.; and his sister Kathleen. He is survived by: his children, Daniel, Meghan and Jonathan; his granddaughter Ava; his siblings, Gervis, Dean, Bill, Johnny, Pauline and Laura; and his close friend Edith. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (21 Upper Nicholsville Rd, Deer Lake, NL A8A1Z3).
