He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Collins (Paul) and Charles Collins; his siblings, Norman, Nathan, Eldon, Mildred Newman, Rhyma Osmond and Marion Farnell; his parents-in-law, Henry Parsons and Faith Payne; and his sister-in-law Nelia Tucker.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Cynthia Woodford (Norman) and Shawn Collins (Debbie); his grandchildren, Vanessa Woodford, Malcolm Gale (Barbara), Matthew Gale (Kiera), Tara, Decker (Boyde) and Nikkita McKay (Trevor Junior); his great grandchildren, Blaire, Maddox, Paisley, Mila, Lyla, Hudson and Bodhi; his brother William Collins (Stella); and his in-laws, William Parsons (Marie), Elwood Tucker, Lloyd Parsons (Emma), Garwin Parsons (Stella), Shirley Pinksen (Eric), Kevin Parsons (Colleen), Thomas Parsons (Josephine), Christine Parsons, Marlene Curlew (Bruce), Daphne MacDonald (Reginald) and Ronald Parsons (Pamela). He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A1X1). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army Citadel (20 Church St, Deer Lake, NL A8A1Y5).
