She is survived by: her husband Charles Samms (Chuck); her stepchildren, Charles Jr. and Margaret Hall; her stepgrandson Christopher; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Nora and Brace; her sister Dranel Wood (Harold); her siblings-in-law, Bobbie Luxton, Mary Legge (Jack), Alma Clarke (Claude), Hope Allen (Bob) and Calvin Samms (Patsy); her parents-in-law, Thomas and Lillian Samms; her brother Ricardo Luxton (Rick); her stepdaughter Sarah; and her siblings-in-law, Georgina Yates (Frank), Beryl King (Harris), Eleanor King (Joe) and Lewis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donations in her memory may be given to the Western Health Foundation – Palliative Care Unit.
