With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Robert Douglas Butler of Cupids, Newfoundland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 22, 2025 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Doris; his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Norma; and his daughter Charlotte.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Gloria (Joe), George (Sherri), Julie (Doug), Jeff (Michelle) and Yvonne; his grandchildren, Cory, Darrell, Robert, Natasha, Olivia, Madison, Alyssa, Rush, Austin, Mari and Darcie; his great grandchildren, Nola, Chase, Alexis, Bria Madison and Cameron; his great great grandchildren, Finley, Travis and Jason; his brother Fred (Sue); his sister-in-law Marie; and his nephews, Glen (Jackie), Ross (Denise) and Scott.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Broughton's Memorial Chapel (17 Station Rd, Brigus, NL A0A 1K0).

In lieu of flowers , the family asks that donations be made to the SPCA, Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation in honor of Charles's generous and caring spirit.
