He was predeceased by: his wife Mondella Hooper; his son Clayton Hooper; his siblings, Samuel Hooper and Susan Wiscombe; his parents, Steven Hooper and Mary Hooper; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Alice Good; his nieces and nephews, Mary Moulton, Diane Randell, Lou Wiscombe, Sam Wiscombe and Rex Hooper; and his sister-in-law Ruby Pike.
He is survived by: his children, Beverley Hooper Cheeseman (Gordon) of Rushoon, Raymond Hooper (Cecilia) of Ontario, David Hooper (Joshie) of Creston South and Boris Hooper (Norma) of Ontario; his grandchildren, Brandon Cheeseman (Sherry), Myer Hooper (Veronique), Rayane Sauve (Trevor) and Wyatt Hooper (Lacey); and his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Sylas, Nyla and Sage.
In James' memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Michael's Anglican Cemetery Fund.
