He was predeceased by: his son Cecil Saunders; his great grandchild Luca Walters; his parents, Marjorie Keeping and Ernest Keeping; his siblings, Ernest John Keeping, John Manuel Keeping, Rose Mary Keeping and Annie Pearl Baker (Jim); and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Dove and Jim Banfield.

He is survived by: his wife Myrtle; his children, Hazel Walters (Harvey) of Boat Harbour, Marjorie Keeping (Brian) of Brookside, Ricky Keeping of Boat Harbour, Kenneth Keeping (Susan) of Boat Harbour, Jerry Keeping (Tammy) of Alberta and Terry Keeping (Shelby) of Alberta; his grandchildren, Jason (Krista), Jeremy (Britteny), Jacqueline (Michael), Joshua (Sylvia), Justin (Dana), Janelle (Alex), Jerrica (John), Jacob, Wilson, Rory, Logan and Brittny; his great grandchildren, Jordan (Lydia), Jonathan, Jay, Jesse, Jayden, Leland, Oliver, Carter, Cole, Emiy, Grace, Myra, Alora and Makayla; his sisters, Myrtle Banfield of Grand Bank and Gladys Dove of Bishops Falls; and his nephew Stanley Baker.
