He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Hillier and Mary Hillier; his brothers, Maxwell Hillier and Edward Hillier; his parents-in-law, Merrill and Elizabeth Perham; and his brothers-in-law, William Rose and Norman Perham.
He is survived by: his wife Florence; his children, Steven Hillier (Claudette) and Sherry Curtis (Danny) of Creston South; his grandchildren, Jarod Hillier (Alena), David Hillier (Kiara) and Kaitlyn Curtis; his siblings, Doris Rose (Fred Murphy) of Fortune, Maxine Symes (Terry) of Fortune, Reg Hillier (Linda) of Burin, Merrill Hillier (Shirley) of Grand Bank and Manuel Hillier of Grand Bank; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Hillier of Fortune, Bertha Stratton (Clayton) of Carbonear, Sheila Forsey (Jordan) of St. John's, Joan Perham of Corner Brook and Verd Perham (Lynn) of Portugal Cove.
