It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valetta Blanche Smith in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William and Ina; her siblings, Myrtice and Eric; her parents-in-law, Gilbert and Ivy; and her brothers-in-law, Hedley (Florence), Samuel and Ferd.

She is survived by: her husband Jim; her children, Jennifer (Joseph), Kim (Rick), Lisa (Melvin) and Jimmie; her grandchildren, Isabella, Ashley, Cecilia, James and Brady; her great grandchildren, Eli, Jubilee, Tobias, James and Dalton; her siblings, Elizabeth, Clarence (Sandra), Jim (Mary) and Judy; and her siblings-in-law, Cyril and Shirley (Beulah). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
