He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa; his parents, James and Ursula; and his siblings, Richard Tompkins, Frank Tompkins (Bride), Jimmy Tompkins (Ann), Mary McCormack (Jack), Patricia Page (Bob) and Margaret Thompson (Fred).
He is survived by: his brother Johnny of Antigonish, NS; his sisters-in-law, Camille Bruce and Assumpta Roche; and his nephews, Kelly Tompkins, David Bruce and Leo Bruce. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
