With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Vivian Power (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 17, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood and Doris; her stepmother Janet; her siblings, George Hann and Sylvia Robinson (Jack); her half-sister Rachel; her brothers-in-law, Ed, Gerald (Wilhemena), Kevin, George, Junior "Buzz" and Monroe; and her pet Chippy.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick Power; her children, Patricia, Susan, Stephen (Isabel) and Philip (Janice); her grandchildren, Johnathan Hamilton (Sarah), Allison Chaffey (Park), Rebecca Hamilton and Kyle Power (Laura); her great grandchildren, Erin Chaffey and Asher Hamilton; her half-brothers, Bruce (Raymie), Carl (Barb) and Simon (Cathy); and her siblings-in-law, Brian (Paula), Paul Abbott, Judy, Eileen, Cora and Sheila. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Shirley's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or your local S.P.C.A.
