He was predeceased by: his son Irvine; his parents, Pearl Barrett and George Barrett; his sisters, Jean Wattson (Henry), Doreen Tucker (Gerald) and Nina Cashin (William); and his parents-in-law, Clara and Wallace Crocker.

He is survived by: his wife Verna; and his son Gordon (Paulette).
